Do you have faith!

Hannah means Favor

Hannah a wife to Elkanah and sister wife to Peninnah in 1 Samuel 1. Elkanah was a wealthy man and he could take very good care of his family. Hannah had no children while Peninnah had many. Peninnah knew that being barren was a sore spot for Hannah, so she proved Hannah about her situation.

1 Samuel 1:15 Hannah poured out her soul before the Lord!

She went to God about her situation not man. How many times do we run to our friends or parents about our situations instead of going to God in prayer about what we are going through.

1 Samuel 1:19 The Lord remembered her. She conceived! She got her answer from the Lord, the only one who could open up her womb. I know that with modern technology we can go to the obsterics and gynecology doctors to hae a procedure done, invetro and more these days but back in the bible days there were no such opportunities yet. Stay with me....

Hannah went to God in cofidence in who he was and is with expectation of an answer. 1 Samuel 1:13 Hannah cried out and prayed so much that the priest thought she was drunk. She travailed and poured out her heart to God. That is faith in action.

Before you pick up the phone, before you run out the door, SEEK God in faith with confidence that he hears you. Go to God with expectations that he can do the very thing you are seeking him for and he will blow your mind in the process. Do your part by checking the motives of your heart in what you are asking for, believing he is able and walk in alignment with the word of God.

Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. KJV

Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him; for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. KJV

Luke 8:43 We have all heard about the woman with the issue of blood for twelve long years. Her faith was so great that she no longer cared how the people would feel about her being among them she wanted to be healed at any cost. So she pressed her way through the crowd and touched the hem of the garment of Jesus, and immediately her flow dried up. Her faith was so great that she pulled on the virtue of Jesus with out touching his physical body she touched his clothes. Oh how great is her faith that he felt her touching his robe. Verse 48, And he said to her, Daughter, be of good comfort: thy faith has made you whole, go in peace.

Wait a minute she is not the only person who touched him in faith. Matthew 14:34-36 And when they were gone over, they came into the land of Gennesaret. And when the men of that place had knowledge of him, they sent out into all the country round about, and brought unto him all that were diseased; and besought him that they might only touch the hem of his garment: and as many as touched were made perfectly whole.
